Covid-19: FG, WAEC agree to postpone Examination date
The Federal Government and West African Examination Council have agreed to shift the date of West African Senior School Certificate Examination from August 4 to September 5, 2020, earlier announced by the Council.
This was according to a statement by the Minister of State for Education, Hon. Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba on Friday in Abuja, stating that the development was as a result of a meeting between the Federal Government and officials of WAEC in Nigeria on Monday as they have both agreed to further consult with four other countries on the new examination date.
The government has also given school owners in the country up to 29th July 2020 to meet specific guidelines towards the reopening of schools at a date to be announced in due course.
Ok..may God help us to overcome this phase of our lives.
Adamu is working. After putting everyone in high jump, they sat down to do the needful. If the ministry of education know what they are doing, they should have been the first to approach WAEC to postpone exam. Now they are being lead like blind by ordinary exam body to do the expected
Thank God for the good news, but students need steady revision because many of them have forgot what they have been taught in the school if not they will fail woefully.
Thank God for the final settlement in the dates.
This is a good development
