FAAN, CBN relocation: North plotted against itself – Aisha Yesufu

Aisha Yesufu, a social critic and human rights activist, has reacted to the Arewa Consultative Forum’s protest against President Bola Tinubu’s endorsement of relocating the headquarters of the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) and certain departments of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) from Abuja to Lagos.

FAAN officially announced the Federal Government’s decision to move its headquarters from Abuja to Lagos, following a directive from Nigeria’s Aviation Minister, Festus Keyamo.

The Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) condemned this relocation, labeling it as a deliberate scheme against the Northern region, expressing concerns about a perceived pattern of actions contrary to the interests of the North and other regions.

Reacting to this, Yesufu remarked that the Northern region undermined its own interests.
