“Power should be given to the South for the sake of fairness” — Zulum
Governor of Borno State, Babagana Zulum has expressed that power should move to the southern part of the country in 2023 for the sake of fairness.
He faulted the suspicion that any part of the country could not be trusted with power, perhaps for the fear of secession.
He spoke in Lagos on Friday at the 17th Chief Gani Fawehinmi annual lecture, themed ‘The constitutional history of Nigeria’s dysfunction: Any pathway to indivisibility and common progress?’ which was an event organised by the Nigerian Bar Association, Ikeja Branch, to celebrate the life and times of the late Fawehinmi.
He pointed out that there was a need for fairness in the country for common progress to occur, and marginalisation had become the loudest concern from the citizenry.
At the event, Governor Zulum also called on south-easterners to negotiate for power rather than expect others to leave it for them.
Regionalization is not the problem of Nigeria
What we need is good leaders from any part of the country.
May Almighty God bless you for speaking the truth, this what many of those in power do not want to say because of their selfishness.
Many of nowadays leaders are afraid of speaking the truth to themselves but no matter what happened truth will always prevail.
Those people who is controlling the power presently are still aiming of controlling it on 2023 and we are talking about federal character. May Almighty God bless you professor babagana zulum of borno state.
I hope those who concerns will try to listen to you and let the southern produce the next president.
That will be good if this useless northerners will let them have it….
This is why I love babangida zulum…he always says the truth.
For peace and unity sakes. They should give the power to the south. I support you this time
