Ministers donate 50% of their salary for the fight against Coronavirus

In the fight against Coronavirus, 43 ministers have agreed to donate 50 percent of their March 2020 salaries to support the Federal Government.

This was according to a report by the Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed where he stated that the donation was coordinated by the Minister for State and Transportation, Gbemisola Saraki.

Mohammed quoted her as saying that the fund was raised to support the efforts to tackle the disease adding that the gesture will facilitate an early resolution of the virus.

”This global virus outbreak will require nations, continents and smaller communities to pull together to contribute their resources and
support one another”, she said.
