Buhari to depart for Mali on Peace Mission

President Muhammadu Buhari will depart Nigeria for Mali on a peace mission following his meeting with the ECOWAS Special Envoy, and former President Goodluck Jonathan.

This was according to a statement signed by his Spokesman, Femi Adesina on Wednesday where he stated that the purpose of the meeting is to engage in further consultations towards finding a political solution to the crisis in the country.

Also expected at the meeting are the host President, Ibrahim Boubacar Keita of Mali, and his counterpart from Senegal, Machy Sall.

Others, according to the statement are, Nana Akufo-Addo of Ghana and Alassane Ouattara of Cote d’Ivoire.

  1. This young man called Buhari is jetting out of the country to Mali, while Boko Haram were busy beheading Aid workers in Borno. I wonder what he will tell the world that is happening in Northern Nigeria. A man whose supposedly country is on by ignited but their myopic sympathy to religious leaning is going for Peace talk whereas it was his country that need peace more than any country
