“They will never repent” – Ndume kicks against reintegration of former Boko Haram Fighters

The senator representing Borno south, Ali Ndume, has kicked against the rehabilitation and reintegration of former Boko Haram fighters into the society.

He said this during an interview on BBC Hausa, Ndume warned the government to stop rehabilitating them, because they will never repent.
“This government’s programme is unacceptable to our people. The right thing is to stop it, forthwith.

“They are like Kharajites. Many among those released have since run away. They will never repent.

“The government should know what to do about them. But not re-introducing someone to you, who has killed your parent, or your relations,” Ndume said.

At least 600 former insurgents completed a de-radicalisation, rehabilitation and reintegration (DRR) programme in July this year.

  1. I don’t think all these people can cope with the situation n ground because the situation is not friendly at all. They will just pretend and go back to them. Federal government should think twice oooo.

  2. Can a leopard ever change its skin. These terrorists have find haven and lucrative job in terrorism and rehabilitating them is like welcoming a rapist that raped your wife into your house to be your wifes driver in the name that he has repented. This government that said the terrorists are not Nigerians is rehabilitating foreign terrorists to our society
