Breaking: Buhari meets with Governors, Security Chiefs over Security

President Muhammadu Buhari is in a virtual meeting with members of the Governors Forum’s Security Committee. The committee is headed by Kogi Governor, Yahaya Bello.

NAN reports that the meeting will discuss Nigeria’s security situation.

In attendance are Vice President Yemi Osinbajo; Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha; Chief of Staff to the President, Prof. Ibrahim Gambari, and Chief of Defence Staff, Gabriel Olonisakin.

Others are Chief of Naval Staff, Ibok Ekwe Ibas; Inspector-General of Police, Muhammed Adamu; Chief of Air Staff, Sadique Abubakar; Director-General, National Intelligence Agency, Ahmed Rufa’i and the Director-General, Department of State Services, Yusuf Bichi.

Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Tukur Buratai is represented by Maj-Gen. U. S. Yakubu.

Also present are Governors of Bayelsa – Douye Diri; Borno – Babagana Zulum; Ebonyi – David Umahi; Lagos – Babajide Sanwo-Olu

  1. This is good to know and it is nice they are meeting
    Please they should discuss well..o so that a meaningful progress will be made
    The security situation now in Nigeria is nothing to write home about and no one can claim he or she is safe
    It will be nice if they come up with measures that will nip the problem on bud

  2. All these people that president should engage themselves in a resolution and finding lasting to solution to the insecurities.

  3. Pls, they should find solutions to all these killings that we are facing. Nigerians are helpless and it’s not possible to take law by our hands. Good move.

  4. with all do respect sir u don’t av anything to offer when it come to security. I saw Lebanon pram minister resigning because of bomb blast in his country so I except u to do so because u av Field us all
