It is un-African to kneel and propose to a woman – Kanayo agrees with Pete Edochie
Popular Nollywood actor, Kanayo O Kanayo says its is un-African for a man to kneel and propose to a woman as it is an Instagram lifestyle.
He however added that if one wants to live the lifestyle, they can do so.
The veteran actor made this known in a live Instagram session where he supported the stance of his colleague, Pete Edochie.
He said;
”I am an African and I stand with Pete Edochie on what he said. Its un-African to kneel and propose to a woman. it’s un-African. I am an African to that level. Like we always preach, it is not all you see on TV that you copy, it is an Instagram lifestyle. It doesn’t stop you from living it.
“Live it the way you want, we are not also saying, you must live with us in our stone age because when we talk about this some people who think they are more intelligent than us thinks to tell us we are coming from the stone age, don’t worry live your technological age but it is not part of our culture.”

That is what it’s really affecting us in this country, emulating another country’s culture which is very bad, not only that there are so many things such as zagging, Yash level etc which is uncalled for.
I don’t support kneeling down in proposing to a lady because not in our culture not only that and not also in my religion to propose to a lady. Though, some might said nothing bad in it, that it’s there opinion. We should be creative enough and not copy bad culture.
Not only that it is not our culture, it is also very shameful to behave I no that manner
Must every nonsense be copied. Whenever I see this kneeling down by some men to propose to their so called lovers for marriage, I get annoyed
