Edo Election: I am not desperate to win – Ize-Iyamu

APC gubernatorial candidate for Edo State, Osagie Ize-Iyamu has made it known that he is not desperate to win because he genuinely wants to serve the people of Edo State.

Speaking to journalists on Thursday, Ize-Iyamu said even if he loses, he will head to the courts and not resort to violence.

“A man who genuinely wants to serve cannot be desperate. It is not compulsory that I should be the governor.

“If God wills, I will win. I assure you that if I lose the election, the worst that can happen is that I will go to court but I won’t resort to violence. We have warned our supporters against violence,” he said.

  1. I hope you are saying the truth. Politicians have very sweet mouth that they use to deceive the people and I know you are not an exemption
They say ‘A’ and mean ‘B’
They say one thing and mean another, that’s why I started my comment by asking that I hope he is saying the truth
Well peace is the ultimate because violence is an ill wind that blows no one any good
Let it be that you really mean what you have said
It shall be well with Edo state

  2. You are indeed a man of God, if all our politicians know that they are to serve people and it’s not by force. I wish you best of luck in the forthcoming election.

  3. POI you are worthy to emulate, all what you need is to inform your followers not to result to violence before, during and after election, so that they won’t tarnish you image.
