We need to restructure and restore Nigeria to federalism, it is at the brink of destruction – Afenifere
Pan-Yoruba Group, Afenifere has advised that the country be restructured and restored back to federalism as it is at the brink of destruction.
This was contained in a statement signed by the group’s National Publicity Secretary, Yinka Odumakin. The group blamed the Buhari-led administration for the current situation of the country as it enters into recession, is besieged by poverty as well as increased insecurity. According to the group, the government is helpless and unable to govern effectively.
The group also called on the government to implement the report of 2014 conference now, in order to salvage the country. They also asked the President to immediately open all the Southern borders in the country that has been closed since August 2019.
“As Nigeria enters the worst recession in 33 years and the second in five years of Buhari, we are equally besieged by attendant poverty as well as insecurity worsening across the land with kidnappers, armed robbers and bandits on the prowl and government helpless and unable to govern effectively.
“The truth is that the country had virtually become ungovernable and unless we restructure and restore Nigeria to federalism, the country is on the brink of collapse and God should save us from the worst-case scenario.”the statement read
I still wonder why the federal government, Is finding it difficult to restructure this country for christ sake. Nigeria is already destroyed
Yes,if nothing is done,the country would be destroyed beyond repairs.

I don’t think president buhari understand the meaning of restructuring? Because if he does, he would listen to the people saying we should restructure Nigeria.
The 2014 confab outcome should be looked into because not everything in that report is not good. At least people from different geo political zone participated in it then why not look into it?
If restructuring and federalism will be the solution, then the federal government should quickly do something and open the boarder for us in the country.
The southern part of the country boarder was closed and left the northern one opened, then look at the results of partiality that they are facing.
