FG arraigns Sowore, Four others after protest on New year’s Eve.

The Federal Government has arraigned Omoyele Sowore and four others at the Magistrate Court in Wuse Zone 2, Abuja over their protest against bad governance on New Year’s Eve in Abuja.

Sowore is being arraigned alongside four others on three charges of criminal conspiracy, unlawful assembly, and attempting to incite others which they all pleaded not guilty.

The Prosecution, however, alleged that the defendants were arrested on New Year’s eve with placards calling for a violent revolution against President Muhammadu Buhari following Sowore’s tweet where he charged Nigerians to hold a crossover protest by picking up a candle and a placard showing their grievances against the President Muhammadu Buhari administration.

  1. Everyone is keeping quiet now, this government is indirectly shutting the mouth of its citizens. By arresting peaceful protesters.

  3. Even president buhari has said it on the new year message passed to us, then what evidences of bad governance do we need again that’s more than what we have encountered so far.

  4. The federal government should not victimize this guy anymore, he is saying the truth because since the inception of this government we have not enjoyed anything per say.

  5. They should free this man abi what has he done to warrant such I’ll treatment meted to, I hope one day Nigeria government will be treating their citizens with respect they deserve.

  6. The government needs not to start with this nonsense instead they should have treat the issue raised by him, arrested is not the best option let’s see how it will go.
