Boko Haram kidnaps District Head in Yobe
Boko Haram insurgents in an attack on Wednesday evening at Geidam town in Yobe State abducted the district head.
The insurgents reportedly stormed the town shooting sporadically causing many residents to panic and flee into the bush while others hid in their houses.
According to the Yobe State Police Command spokesman ASP Dungus Abdulkarim who confirmed the attack, also revealed that the police also recovered a burnt Hilux vehicle containing two bodies.
He added that it could not be ascertained whether the deceased were Boko Haram members or not.
Reacting to the development, Governor Mai Mala Buni directed the Yobe State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) to move to Geidam and support the victims.
The FG will be deceiving themselves by saying that they have defeated boko haram technically yet boko haram is busy killing at will. May God save us, and remove bad leadership from us. Where is garuba shehu, Lai Mohammed and co. Hope they have heard this.
God help us with this Boko Haram issue in this country.
