Nigerian Police did very well in 2019/2020 – IGP Adamu

The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Mohammed Adamu has commended the Nigerian police saying they did very well in 2019/2020.

According to him when his administration came in, there were many issues related to banditry and kidnappings, especially along the Abuja-Kaduna road.

He, however, noted that his men have squashed this challenge to the barest minimum.

He said;

“Apart from the insurgency that is being successfully dealt with in the northeast, there were issues in the northcentral in terms of farmers-herders conflicts and even kidnappings.

“We restrategized, created an operation, Puff Adder. We retrained our Special Forces, we identified police officers that have been in the theatre of operations in the northeast before they went and came back.

“We retrained them and sent them to the field. So we were able to succeed in bringing down to a very low level of kidnapping and banditry,” he added.

  1. Those policemen are really trying in terms of curbing crime but what most them need is to reorientate on how to carried out their work according to the law of the land.

  2. Kudos to the Nigeria police force (NPF), they really tried in sensitising all police officers and I hope this change will continue in them.

  3. Is it not because of the #endsars activities that happened that makes them change their attitude and mind sets.

  4. I hope this change will continue, if they didn’t maltreat the citizens anymore their respect will be restored back to them.

  5. Is it the same year, we went to the street to protest against police brutality? Is that how you did well? Abeg go rest if you don’t have anything to say

  6. Are you the one to rate yourself and tell us that you did very well. It was in your tenure endsars happened and many people lost their lives. You ought to be remorseful and apologize to Nigerians over your poor handling of endsars protest and the incident at Toll gate, not to come and sing your praising song
