Court overturns death sentence imposed on Kano singer over blasphemy

A Court led by Chief judge Nuraddeen Sagir has overturned the death sentence imposed on Kano Singer, Yahya Sharif Aminu for blasphemy.

In the judgement delivered on Thursday January 21, Judge Sagir stated that the trial was full of irregularities as Aminu was not given any legal representation.

He also said that the judgement of the upper Sharia court contravened section 2-6-9 of the administration of criminal justice act as he called for the case to be re-tried at the same court and the appellant given fair hearing and legal representation under another judge.

  1. This is the BEST NEWS I HAVE HEARD THIS YEAR
IT IS GOOD THE DEATH PENALTY SLAMMED ON THIS GUY HAS BEEN OVERTURNED
I PRAY THE RETRIAL JUDGE DOES NOT GIVE HIM DEATH PENALTY AGAIN
    THEY SHOULD FREE HIM

  2. Little by little, Almighty will have mercy on you to scape through this trial. Congrats to you for the first step.

  3. Nonsense religion. If the musician had blasphemed why not judgment for your Allah. Why are you fighting for your Alla. Is your Alla a weakling that he cannot fight for himself. When will these religious fanatics and their bigot elites get sense and leave their god to fight his own war
