Insecurity: ‘Don’t Interrupt Others If You Can’t Protect Your Land’ – Shehu Sani

Former lawmaker, Senator Shehu Sani has called out people interrupting efforts by residents in some part of the country to fight against banditry.

The former lawmaker made this call in a post via his verified Twitter account on Monday.

He lamented over the spate of insecurity in the North, most especially in the rural north-west.

According to him, sometimes, it takes days to find corpses of those killed by the bandits who go about on motorcycles to set villages on fire, rape, and kill innocent citizens.

He wrote:

Bandits have ravaged and pillaged most parts of the rural north west. They move on motorcycles, raze villages, kill and rape with impunity. It takes some days to find some of the corpses of their victims. If you can’t protect your land don’t interrupt those who decides to.

  1. We have hypocrite people in the country, instead of supporting them to do more, they result to condemnation.

  2. Those herdsmen and bandits have killed many people in the country and the government doesn’t take bold step on it, what do they expect the villagers to do?

  3. I hope those involved will listen to your advise and stop condemning those who are ready to sacrifice their lives.

  4. Those security agencies can’t do it alone, if there is any other people who assist them, they should appreciate.
