‘Na Military Regime we dey?’- Mr Macaroni laments as he was arrested at Lekki Toll Gate Protest

Popular comedian, Mr Macaroni, has reportedly been apprehended by the Nigerian police force.

The comedian, whose real name is Debo Adebayo, was detained by officers alongside other protesters at the Lekki Toll gate on Saturday.

The demonstration was organized by those who were against the decision of the Lagos State Judicial Panel of Inquiry to allow the Lekki Concession to reopen the Admiralty Toll Gate despite the alleged killing of protesters on October 20, 2020.

The comedian, who took part in the protest, documented his arrest in an Instagram live broadcast and he revealed that he has been placed in a police van. His phone and that of other protesters were later seized by the police, ending his Instagram Live session.

  1. It’s unfortunate we found ourselves in this kind of country that has no value for human lives. May God help us. How will they plan to reopen the toll gate when they have not sort the issue that took place there?

  2. There is different between peaceful protest and violent one, they should release them without any condition.

  3. I still wondering why those in power always against any organization or people asking for their right but ready to liase with terrorist in the country.

  4. When you arrested the innocent protesters with black Maria, then how would you arrest the terrorist in the country.

  5. What we can do is not to allow them to take us for granted because the government just want to use their power to oppress the citizens. Good one Mr debo adebayo.
