“Fix the country so we can come back home” Ghanaians in Germany confront their president during his visit to the country

Ghanaians in Germany have called out their President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo as he arrived the country for a 7-day visit. Akufo-Addo is in Germany at the invitation of the German Chancellor, Ms Angela Merkel to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of North Rhine-Westphalia.

A video shared online shows the welcome address he received from Ghanaians upon his arrival. As he arrived in a motorcade and exited his car, Ghanaians who were already waiting for him, shouted greetings to him, then told him to fix the country so they can return home. They admitted they love him but told him he can do better. “Nana, we beg you, fix the country… fix the country so we can come back home,” the Ghanaians are heard telling their president.
