We don’t need anti-grazing law in Imo, herdsmen, farmers in peace – Uzodinma

Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State has said there is no need for any anti-grazing law in the state as herders and farmers are in harmony.

The governor made this known on Thursday during an interview on Channels Television.

According to him, the state government only regulated grazing activities in the State in a way that would favour both the herders and farmers.

He said Fulani herdsmen and farmers have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to be in peace with each other and have been going about their businesses without issues.

“I don’t have any law in Imo State for Anti-Grazing. What we have done is that we are regulating grazing activities in the State under a partnership between our farmers and our herders.

“They signed a Memorandum of Understanding in my office where they agreed to work together and both parties have been going about their businesses without causing any grievances or anger to each other”, he said
