100 more Harvard visits can’t fix educated illiteracy. You need Islamic education and not Harvard education to lead us right – Former Kano commissioner mocks Governor Ganduje

A former Commissioner of Works and Infrastructure in Kano, Engr Muazu Magaji has mocked Governor Umar Ganduje over his enrolment in a week-long “Authentic Leadership Development Programme” at Harvard Business School, Boston.

Magaji in a post he shared on Facebook stated that a “100 more Harvard visits can’t fix educated illiteracy.”

In another post, the commissioner stated that what Ganduje needs is “Makarantar Allo” (Islamic education) in order for him to understand a couple of things ranging from the importance of family to accountability and even ethics. He said the Governor’s degrees from Ahmadu Bello University and University of Ibadan are all ”okay. ”

“My advise to HE Ganduje it’s not Havard education you need, your degree and PhD from ABU and Ibadan are very ok….what you need was what you missed.Makarantar Allo…to understand the role and place of family in power and management of public trust, to understand the accountability and ethics in managing public wealth, to understand the responsibility and morality of appointing quality aides and holding same accountable…ask to know more about Umar (RA) leadership model and you wont need Havard to lead us right, he said

He added that he hopes Ganduje’s Harvard programme “opens his eyes and mind in a way they couldn’t.” Muazu wrote in another post; It seems HE Ganduje just realised that he only was schooled with a PhD, and now needs education…hence decided to go to Harvard! We pray Havard can open his eyes and mind in a way we could not do despite all our past efforts. The good thing is he realises it at all.
