Beg federal government to fulfil agreements with us – ASUU to Nigerians

The Academic staff union of Universities ASUU has called on Nigerians to beg the Federal Government to honor it’s agreement with ASUU.

ASUU Chairman, University of Ibadan, Professor Ayo Akinwole made the call while addressing journalists on Tuesday.

He said there will be no need for a strike if the government has been faithful.

“We wish to inform you of the antics of the federal government. The government has not been fulfilling agreements since 2009.

“The government has been foot-dragging. The government is yet to fulfil its agreements.

“We are now telling the public that the government is playing with a time bomb.

“We are now calling on the people to prevail on the Nigerian government to honour agreements with ASUU.

“If the government fulfils its agreements, there will be no need for a strike.

“What we are saying is that the government should be faithful”, he said
