If you go to Ohafia and mention Senate President Ahmad Lawan’s name, they will think he’s a tomato dealer – Former Governor of Borno state, Kashim Shettima

Former Borno state governor Kashim Shettima has said that Senator Lawan is not a recognisable brand name and so should not be the 2023 presidential aspirant of the All Progressive Congress, Ahmad Lawan. He said this during an interview on channels television.

Shettima who is a staunch supporter of Bola Ahmed Tinubu maintained that Lawan can’t match up with the likes of Atiku Abubakar, the elected presidential aspirant of the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party.

He also claimed that if the Senate President’s name is mentioned in Ohafia, Abia state, people in the area will think he is “a tomato dealer”. According to him, “Tinubu is the best option for us, we don’t have any choice.”
