Kwankwaso is supporting Tinubu because he thinks Asiwaju will help him get power in 8 years time – Deji Adeyanju

Human Rights Activist, Deji Adeyanju has claimed that the Presidential Candidate of the New Nigerian People’s Party (NNPP), Rabiu Kwankwaso is in support of Bola Tinubu of the Ruling All Progressives Congress, APC

Adeyanju in a series of tweets stated that Kwankwaso’s reason is because he thinks the APC presidential candidate will help him get power in 8 years. According to him, if the Former Lagos state Governor becomes president it will take a Southerner another 16 years to be President.

He wrote: “If Tinubu becomes president, it will take another presidential aspirant from the South 16yrs to be president and same for a Northern candidate.

“This is one of the reasons Kwankwaso is now supporting Tinubu. He thinks Asiwaju will help him get power in 8yrs time.

“A very important lesson I learnt from this is that be less desperate about power. This is the same reason why Kwankwaso and Obi couldn’t work together when it’s obvious only one person can be president.”
