England unveils new notes with face of the King

The Bank of England has unveiled new notes carrying the face of the king Charles III to replace the image of Queen Elizabeth II going forwards.

Per the Bank of England’s announcement, existing notes featuring the Queen will still be fine to use, and new notes featuring King Charles III will only replace notes that are damaged.

The new notes are expected to be in circulation by the middle of 2024
