Power derived from rigged election is not from God – Shehu Sani

Former Lawmaker, Shehu Sani has said that power derived from rigging is not from God. He said this reacting to the just concluded 2023 general elections

In a post he shared on Facebook, Sani addressed politicians who bring up religion to legitimize their “evil” after winning elections by rigging, falsifying results, or vote buying.

He wrote: “After they buy votes, falsified figures and rigged elections, they will bring in religion to launder and legitimise their evil; and want you to believe that power is from God. Power derived from rigged election is not from God.”
