Bus fare to return to 100% by April 1 – Lagos State Government

The Lagos State Government has announced that the 50% discount on transport fare on all regulated buses has ended. At the end of March, the bus fare will return to 100% by April 1, 2023.

The development was announced by the Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA) on , March 28, via Twitter.

LAMATA announced that the discount was put in place during the cash crunch and will now end following the Supreme Court and Federal Government’s pronouncement that old notes can now be used alongside new ones.
