Portable wasn’t arrested, reported to the police station himself – Management

The management of embattled singer, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly called Portable, has said that the singer wasn’t arrested but went to the police station himself.

The singer was taken into custody at the Ogun State Police Headquarters in Abeokuta, on Friday, over alleged assault, after the expiration of a 72-hour ultimatum.

In a post shared on the Portable’s Instagram page on Friday, his management explained that Portable wasn’t arrested, adding that he reported himself to the station.

It urged his fans and the public to remain calm, stressing that it was confident in the police.

“Remain calm as everything is under control. We are writing this for those reaching out to us. Portable was not arrested, he went to the police station himself to honour the invitation of the police,” the statement partly read.
