Tinubu appoints Ganduje’s son as Executive Director, Technical Services at REA

Engr. Umar Abdullahi Umar, son of the former Governor of Kano state and current National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has assumed the role of Executive Director, Technical Services at the Rural Electrification Agency (REA).

His appointment to the REA’s new management team came from President Bola Tinubu, following the indefinite suspension imposed on the agency’s previous leadership led by Ahmad Salihijo.

Salhijo, appointed by former President Muhammadu Buhari in 2019, was suspended alongside three directors: Olaniyi Alaba Netufo, as Executive Director of Corporate Services; Barka Sajou, as Executive Director of Technical Services; and Saadatu Balgore, as Executive Director of Rural Electrification Fund (REF)
