Noodles Produced in Nigeria are safe and different from the cancer-causing ones produced abroad – NAFDAC DG, Mojisola

Director-General of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), Mojisola Adeyeye has clarified that there is no connection between the noodles produced in Nigeria and the ones found to contain cancer-causing substances abroad.

In an interview on Arise TV, She mentioned that the Nigerian government prohibited the importation of noodles made abroad a long time ago to promote local production. Adeyeye also noted that the noodles produced in Nigeria are secure and that her organization conducted tests as a precautionary measure in response to reports of cancer-causing substances discovered in some noodles by authorities in Taiwan and Malaysia.
