Breaking: Supreme Court affirms Adeleke as Osun State Governor

On Tuesday, the Supreme Court in Abuja upheld Ademola Adeleke’s position as the Governor of Osun State under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

This decision was made following the affirmation of his victory by a three-member appellate court panel led by Mohammed Shuaibu, which nullified the judgment of the election petition tribunal.

The election petition tribunal had earlier nullified Adeleke’s victory in January of this year after a petition was filed by Adegboyega Oyetola, the state’s immediate-past governor who challenged Adeleke’s victory.
