Seun Kuti has been placed under arrest over altercation with Police Officer – Lagos police Benjamin Hundeyin says

According to the spokesperson of the Lagos State Police Command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, afrobeats singer Seun Kuti has been arrested following his altercation with a police officer.

Seun Kuti, son of the legendary Fela Kuti, voluntarily surrendered himself at the Lagos State Police Command Headquarters in Ikeja on the morning of May 15.

In a statement issued by Hundeyin, it was revealed that Seun Kuti, accompanied by his lawyer and a family representative, has been taken into custody in compliance with the law. The police command appreciates the public’s concern and assures that the ongoing investigation will be thorough, transparent, and conducted with professionalism. Justice will be served fairly for all parties involved.
