The actors you see going on radio or TV to beg for money are not active members of our association – TAMPAN President, Mr Latin

Bolaji Amusan, popularly known as Mr. Latin and the President of the Theatre Arts and Movies Production Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN), has shed light on why the group is unable to provide assistance to certain ailing actors in the movie industry.

Mr. Latin emphasized that TAMPAN is always ready to offer support and has already spent over N10 million on addressing health issues faced by actors. However, he revealed that some ailing actors cannot be helped by the association due to their inactivity within the group.

According to him, these individuals, out of shame, choose not to reach out to TAMPAN for assistance. Instead, they seek help through the Internet, radio, or television platforms, knowing that they were not actively involved members of the association. As a result, TAMPAN is unable to extend its support to them.

“We always come to the aid of all active members. Since I became the TAMPAN President, we have spent more than N10 million on the actors’ health challenges.

“The ones you see going on radio or TV to beg for money are not active members of the association, he said
