Buhari names Federal Secretariat after Goodluck Jonathan

President Muhammadu Buhari has paid tribute to his predecessor, Goodluck Jonathan, by dedicating a federal government building in his honor.

On Tuesday, he inaugurated three bridges, three secretariats, and one road project completed during his administration.

The construction of federal secretariats in Anambra, Bayelsa, and Zamfara states was undertaken to reduce expenditure on office rent for government agencies.

Buhari emphasized that consolidating federal civil servants in a single location would enhance service delivery and help curtail the cost of governance.

The newly unveiled structures include the Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan Federal Secretariat in Yenagoa, the Ebele Okeke Federal Secretariat in Awka, and the Malam Yahaya Gusau Federal Secretariat in Gusau.

The President highlighted that prioritizing infrastructure development was a deliberate decision in his administration aimed at fostering economic prosperity and facilitating poverty reduction.
