Subsidy removal: Tinubu don break record within 24 hours after swearing-in – Charly Boy

Veteran Singer, Charly Boy has expressed his concerns regarding President Bola Tinubu’s plan to remove fuel subsidies, stating that the newly inaugurated president has made a significant move.

During his inaugural speech on Monday, President Tinubu announced that the subsidy would no longer be sustained, leading to varied reactions from stakeholders. While some individuals applauded the president for taking a bold step, others believe that the timing of the policy is inappropriate.

Charly Boy, sharing his thoughts on the matter, expressed his disappointment over Tinubu’s controversial statement, which has already resulted in fuel price increases in certain parts of the country.

In a tweet from his official Twitter handle, the entertainer questioned whether those praising the president for the decision would not experience the negative consequences firsthand.

He wrote, “Tinubu don break record within 24 hours after swearing-in. Fuel scarcity and fuel price have increased after announcing fuel subsidy removal. Day 1 hitting the ground running.

“The question is, are the BATIS going to buy this fuel in different prices from what We Buy??? We go soon learn”.
