Many men of God told me after several manic episodes that she was after my life – Chacha Eke speaks on why she wished her mom dead

Nollywood actress Chacha Eke shared that during her upbringing, she developed a strong aversion towards her mother and even harbored wishes for her mother’s demise.

She attributed this hatred towards her mother to a mental disorder that caused a shift in her preferences, turning her favorite person into her least favorite. Compounding her negative sentiments were false claims made by self-proclaimed men of God, who falsely alleged that her mother harbored ill intentions towards her.

Eke made this revelation while commemorating her mother’s birthday on Wednesday, expressing her love and appreciation for her through an Instagram post. She shared a video featuring herself and her mother, acknowledging that although her feelings of animosity towards her mother intensified as she grew older, she now understands that it was a consequence of her mental health condition.

The actress expressed gratitude for the realization that her negative emotions were rooted in her mental illness while her mother is still alive. Despite her personal struggles, she recognized her mother’s role in raising her as a strong and resilient individual.

Eke encouraged others grappling with similar disorders to seek professional medical assistance, underscoring the importance of mental health support and treatment.

“This is a video of me and my biological Mom. I loved her intensely when I was younger. She was, and still is my best friend.
