I, Wizkid, Olamide blew before you, you want skip me from the legacy? – Young6ix tells Davido

Young6ix, a Nigerian hip-hop artist based in the United States, whose real name is Onome Onokohwomo, has criticized singer Davido for omitting him from the list of the first generation of young artists who attained stardom in the Nigerian music industry.

In recent remarks, Davido claimed that he and Wizkid were the initial young Nigerian artists to achieve stardom. He expressed his delight in witnessing the emergence of “new cats” such as Burna Boy, Rema, Fireboy, Mayorkun, and Asake, who currently dominate the music industry.

Responding through a video message posted on social media, Young6ix asserted that he, along with Olamide and Wizkid, had achieved fame before Davido.

He said, “David, David. How many times I called your name?
“You know I got nothing but love for you, my boy. But let’s get it straight. It was Wizkid, Olamide and Young6ix before it was you. We were the youngins of that time.

“You want to skip me from the legacy?”
