President Tinubu suspends EFCC Boss, Bawa, hands over to Mohammed Abba
In order to facilitate a thorough investigation into his alleged misconduct during his tenure, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has authorized the indefinite suspension of Mr. AbdulRasheed Bawa, CON, from his position as the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Reliable sources within the presidency have revealed that the suspension comes as a result of serious accusations of abuse of power made against Mr. Bawa.
President Tinubu has instructed Bawa to immediately hand over the responsibilities of his position to the Director of Operations at the Commission. The Director of Operations will assume temporary oversight of the Office of the Chairman of the Commission until the investigation is concluded.
