Lagos guber petition: Rhodes-Vivour closes case against Sanwo-Olu

Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, the candidate of the Lagos State Labour Party (LP) for the 2023 governorship election, on Tuesday concluded his arguments against Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s victory in the March 18 election.

Rhodes-Vivour is also questioning the eligibility of Obafemi Hazmat, the Deputy Governor of Lagos State, to run for office. The basis of this challenge is the allegation that Hazmat renounced his Nigerian citizenship and pledged loyalty to the United States of America.

During the hearing before the governorship election petition tribunal, Mr Idowu Benson, the legal representative for the petitioner, informed the three-justice tribunal led by Arum Ashom that the petitioner was concluding their case.
