First Lady Remi Tinubu donates N250,000 to TradeMore flood victims

Senator Oluremi Tinubu, the wife of the President, has provided financial assistance to the victims of the flood incident that occurred on June 23, 2023, at TradeMore Estate in Lugbe, Abuja. The sum of N250,000 was distributed to the affected individuals through her philanthropic project, the Renewed Hope Initiative.

Representing Senator Tinubu, Hajia Nana Shettima, the wife of the Vice President, expressed her condolences to the victims of the unfortunate event and delivered the donations. The first lady acknowledged that there is no guarantee that such incidents will not happen again, especially during the ongoing rainy season. However, she remained optimistic that the outreach and support provided by the Renewed Hope Initiative would alleviate their suffering during this difficult time.

Despite the fact that the Initiative is still in the process of registering with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), the first lady emphasized that she could not ignore the situation at TradeMore Estate, as it falls within her purview.

Dr. Adewale Adenaike, the chairman of the Residents Association, expressed gratitude on behalf of the beneficiaries for the kindness and support extended to them during this challenging period. Each affected household received N250,000, and a total of 57 households benefited from the outreach conducted by the Renewed Hope Initiative.
