Never make such grave mistake again – Bashir Ahmad warns Davido over video

Bashir Ahmad, a former aide to ex-President Muhammadu Buhari, has responded to the decision made by renowned singer and record label boss, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, to remove a short clip from the controversial video of his artist Logos Olori’s new single ‘Jaye Lo’, which he had previously shared on Twitter.

In the clip posted by Davido, some individuals were seen praying and dancing in front of a mosque. The video sparked widespread criticism, with many people calling on the singer to take it down and apologize to Muslims for what they perceived as a “disrespectful” portrayal of Islam.

After initially ignoring the backlash, Davido eventually deleted the video from his page over the weekend, a move described by Bashir Ahmad as the removal of an “offensive” video.

Responding to the development, the Kano-born politician and former House of Representatives aspirant expressed relief that Davido had taken down the offensive and hurtful video. He also hoped that the entire scene would be removed from the actual footage before its release to the market. He further urged Davido and others to avoid making similar mistakes in the future.

In his tweet, Bashir Ahmad emphasized the importance of listening with empathy, understanding with an open heart, and respecting each other’s values and beliefs.
