Arrest Asari Dokubo for threatening Gov Fubara, threat to national security – Adeyanju to NSA Ribadu

Human Rights Activist, Deji Adeyanju has demanded the arrest of former Niger Delta militant, Asari Dokubo. Adeyanju cited two reasons for the call: Dokubo’s threat against Governor Sim Fubara of Rivers State and his perceived threat to national security.

A petition was submitted to the National Security Adviser, NSA, Nuhu Ribadu, on Wednesday, outlining these concerns. In part, the petition stated, “The recent viral clip of Dokubo Asari threatening Governor Fubara is completely unacceptable. A sitting governor represents the will of the people.

The petition reads partly: “The extant viral clip of Dokubo Asari threatening Governor Fubara should be abhorrently intolerable. A sitting governor is equivalent to the will of the people.

“Dokubo and his gun wielding thugs front themselves who are not effectively restricted by the constitution or bound by the rule of law.

“Therefore, sir, I submit that Dokubo Asari be arrested effective and immediately for threat to national security and utter disregard for the rule of law.”
