Tinubu solely responsible for my ministerial nomination – Dave Umahi 

According to NAN reports, Senator Dave Umahi of Ebonyi South acknowledged that President Bola Tinubu was the sole reason behind his nomination as a minister from his state. Umahi expressed his commitment to work diligently and prove worthy of the trust placed in him, even though he had no prior knowledge of the ministry he would oversee.

He made these statements while addressing journalists in Abakaliki after being welcomed by Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State. The former governor expressed deep gratitude to President Tinubu for fulfilling his promise during a challenging time.

According to Umahi: “My governor (Nwifuru) should be happy because he wished for it.

“I will work with the president to ensure that all promises he made are kept.

“I cannot determine the particular ministry to head but I will justify the Ebonyi character of resourcefulness and exceptionality.”
