N2 million given to senators is not a big deal, it’s even too small for them – Stephanie Coker’s husband, Olumide Aderinokun says

Businessman and politician, Olumide Aderinokun, expressed his opinion that the N2 million ‘enjoyment allowance’ provided to senators is not a significant matter. Aderinokun, who is married to media personality Stephanie Coker, shared his perspective on Twitter on Tuesday, August 15th. He went on to state that the sum of money is even insufficient for the role of a senator.

According to his tweet, “The 2m that was given to senators isn’t a big deal. It is even too small for a senator. What can a family man do with 2m Naira($2k). Why are we making it a big deal. But they shouldn’t have made it public. Making it public is a bit insensitive to plight of Nigerians

This is coming after Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, informed members of the upper legislative chamber of the National Assembly about a modest sum being extended to them for their holiday enjoyment. This announcement, captured on camera, triggered diverse reactions from Nigerians, with many considering it insensitive given the current economic hardships being experienced by the general population.
