Half of the things you are hearing are rumours – Peter Obi says amidst news of his alleged merger with Atiku and Kwankwaso

Peter Obi, presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 elections, has offered what appears to be a reaction to the circulating rumors about his alleged discussions with fellow former presidential candidates Atiku Abubakar and Rabiu Kwankwaso regarding a potential coalition aimed at challenging the dominance of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Addressing a sizable gathering at a significant rally in Edo State, which was organized in anticipation of the forthcoming local government elections in the region, Obi conveyed his message to the numerous party supporters present. He made it clear that certain speculations circulating widely were, in fact, merely rumors. He proceeded to assure his fellow party members about his unwavering dedication to the party’s cause.

“Labour Party will continue to grow. We will continue to go stronger (and) better. Half of the things you are hearing everywhere are rumours, don’t listen to them. We are committed to building a better and a new Nigeria where we will move Nigeria from consumption to production,” Obi said
