”He will have to learn to walk in a minefield or be blown by it” – Shehu Sani speaks on potential conflict between FCT Minister, Wike and President Tinubu

Former Lawmaker Shehu Sani has expressed his opinion regarding the potential for conflict between the newly sworn-in Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Sani acknowledged Wike’s evident competence in carrying out his responsibilities; however, he also raised the possibility that the minister could inadvertently find himself in “serious political trouble” due to his statements or actions.

The former Senator of Kaduna Central emphasized the importance of Wike adopting a cautious approach, akin to navigating through a minefield, to prevent any unintended consequences that could result from his interactions with President Tinubu.

He said; “The capacity and competence of the new FCT minister to deliver is without doubt. The possibility of getting himself and the President into serious political trouble by his utterances or actions is also without doubt. He will have to learn to walk in a minefield or be blown by it.”
