I did not lobby to be sports Minister, President Tinubu saw me fit – John Enoh

John Owan Enoh, the recently appointed Minister of Sports, emphasized that he did not engage in any efforts to persuade President Bola Tinubu for the position.

Enoh’s response came in light of criticisms directed at him regarding his lack of experience within the sports sector.

Even though he does not possess a background in sports, President Tinubu designated him as the 36th Minister of Sports.

Enoh, who had been primarily involved in farming prior to this transition, is steadfast in his assertion that he is diligently familiarizing himself with the field.

He said; “I didn’t lobby to be sports minister.

“President Bola Tinubu saw me fit and decided to put the task of building sports in Nigeria.

“Since I was assigned this portfolio, I have been reading about sports.”
