“Olamide, Asake stole songs from me”– Blackface claims

Renowned singer Ahmedu Augustine Obiabo, better known as Blackface, has made allegations of song theft against YBNL boss Olamide and his artist Asake.

During a recent broadcast of The Honest Bunch Podcast, the former Plantashun Boiz member asserted that Olamide, in particular, has been involved in the appropriation of numerous songs throughout his career.

He additionally alleged that Wizkid and Burna Boy appropriated their collaborative chart-topper ‘Ginger’ from his work, specifically claiming that ‘Ginger’ took inspiration from his song ‘Twist & Turn.’

The veteran singer firmly maintained that not only did other artists borrow his lyrics, but they also mimicked the sounds he had pioneered.

He said, “Olamide and Asake steal songs. Olamide has stolen many songs in his career. He jacked ‘Don’t Stop’ from me my song ‘Killa’.”
