Nigerian doctor pays N1.5m as bride price and N60k for the marriage list to marry Imo bride

A Nigerian woman disclosed that her cousin, a medical doctor, disbursed N1.5 million as bride price and an extra N60,000 to obtain the list of marriage items he’s required to purchase.

According to her, the substantial amount was demanded by the bride’s family, who justified it by emphasizing that their daughter is a ‘graduate’.

“Today, My cousin paid 1.5million as bride price and 60k to collect the list plus the things on the list. Girl’s family said its 1.5million because she’s a “graduate” . My cousin is a Medical Doctor/ Surgeon but oh well! It doesn’t matter to them,”
