Nnamdi Kanu’s Assasination plot: MNK was never meant to get a fair trial. President Tinubu should wash his hands off – IPOB lawyer, Ejimakor

Aloy Ejimakor, the Special Counsel to Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has urged President Bola Tinubu to disassociate himself from the agitator’s case and ensure his release.

This call comes in response to revelations that former President Muhammadu Buhari prevented his government from resorting to assassination in handling Kanu’s situation. Ejimakor contends that Femi Adesina’s disclosure indicates that Kanu was not intended to receive a fair trial in Nigeria.

Posting on X, the lawyer wrote: “Buhari’s self-confessed plot to assassinate MAZI NNAMDI KANU underscores the lingering notion that #MNK was never meant to get a fair trial in Nigeria.

“That’s why they resorted to extraordinary rendition & illegal detention. President Tinubu should wash his hands off & #FreeMNK.”
