The Vice President has become a political target – Osinbanjo’s aide

Laolu Akande, Vice President Yemi Osinbanjo’s special assistant on media and publicity says the vice president has become a political target.

He said this during an Instagram Live chat with the publisher of Ovation Magazine, Dele Momodu, on Monday night stating that a lot of persons were jealous of Osinbajo, because of his position as President Muhammadu Buhari’s number two.

“It is ridiculous and incredible some of the types of stories that are out there. What I have found out is that being the vice-president and being a very active vice-president that understands how to connect with the people, that rising profile itself, in a political atmosphere that is extremely murky, I think those who have all kinds of unscrupulous ideas, people with despicable agenda have reasons to try to smear the person that is holding that office.

“Like I said, because of the position that he holds, next to the President and because of all the kinds of imaginations that people have to think about him, I think, up to a point, he has become a kind of a political target,” Akande said.

  1. The aide got to earn his pay, otherwise let him tell us how active Osinbajo is.. Who is jealous of his position. Can any right thinking person be jealous of a weakling like Osinbajo who allowed himself to be tossed about by late Abba Kyari. Can any right thinking being be proud to be associated with a monumental failure like Buhari talkless of being a vice to a stark illiterate without common School certificate whereas he is a professor. Can Osinbajo as vice president point to any project he influenced to the West or any other part of the country. The aide should please tell the world where his boss is because since the begining of this pandemic, nobody has seen him in public. Many quarters believe he is under house arrest by the presidency. Note the word presidency cos there is no president

  2. We just want transparency in every position in government. When there’s transparency there’s no accusations
