CAMA: The prosperity of the church is making Nigerian Leaders jealous – Oyedepo

The founder and General Overseer of the Living Faith Church, also known as Winners Chapel, Bishop David Oyedepo, has warned against the application of the Company and Allied Matters Acts (CAMA) in churches set by the Muhammadu Buhari- led government.

The CAMA was signed into law on August 7 by President Buhari, where it states that religious bodies (churches and mosques) as well as charity organisations, will be strictly regulated by the Registrar-General of Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) and a supervising minister.

Reacting to this, Oyedepo made it known that the church operates under God and not under man adding that such laws were borne out of the jealousy of “wicked leaders” about the prosperity recorded by the church.
“The church is God’s heritage on earth. Molest the wife of somebody and you will see the anger of that person. The church is the bride of Christ, he said
“You know how a strong man is when you tamper with his wife. The church is the body of Christ. We are under obligation to give warnings to wicked rulers so we could be free from their blood.

“I know that it is the prosperity of the church that is making them jealous. This is a secular nation. The church is the greatest asset of God in this country. Please be warned.

“Anybody that is in this deal is taking poison. This will never work,” he added

  1. This is my first time of hearing this do I don’t know what to say st all.
Until I get the indept meaning of this, that is when I can contribute to the argument

  2. Even nowadays, some religious bodies have turned to political gathering because instead of telling them the truth and the world of God they won’t do that because of the money expected from those corrupt politicians. If there’s body regulating them, it’s ok.

  3. Is it government or who are those jealousy you? Even I can say categorically that those politicians who siphon money use to think that if they give part of the money stolen to religious house there’s no case for them to answer which is not so. They should seperate themselves from politics.

  4. If The Politicians Are Jealous Of The Church That Means They Are Jealous Of Their Creator actually with is very wrong.

  5. Our politicians can’t get enough.
So they are jealous of the church property.
They should avoid that one ooh.
    Else death await them
